C-could anyone explain the rank for me? My profile used to display an array of paintbrushes and now it's a star, and I don't know what that means! And I notice a variety of other types of icons used in other profiles *3* ; I think I probably missed the memo on what these mean, but if anyone could explain or direct me to the explanatory source, I would be much obliged ! <3 thanks :D

ANYHOO. ugh. lol. ANYHOO. :D so how is everyone??? summer plans? vacay anywhere interesting??
me, i've been doing summer classes (biochem, calculus b, intermed painting this session; organic chem b, calculus c, the short story next session) and pursuing various independent projects... not really that interesting i guess HAHA it is kinda boring up here at my apartment by myself.

i'm so jealous of everyone who is abroad right now! ommgoshhh i want to travel so badly. specifically i have had this great, great urge to travel to the land of the rising sun (read: japan), which is really strange for me! since i am more of a euro-phile than i am an asia-phile, but lately... LATELY... perhaps it's because i've been watching that bbc program Japanorama, there are so many things i want to go experience! namely, i would love to see a takurazuka performance, eat expensive sushi, waltz around like a dumbface gaijin in a yukata at the penis shrine, go to otome road (heh heh heh), visit sanrio puroland, and see various museums like the dollfie/ghibli/ETC museums !

... can someone make a tour like this? because... i would go. or maybe i should do it. i...

aughh hahaha HI again journal section; hehe sorry i am just abusing this site's features X) but i need help again!
so i am writing about the Writer's Guild of America (WGA) strike for my university's paper and I would love to get an "inside source." if any of you guys are involved w/ the strike in any way, aka your relatives are involved, you've petitioned out there with them, or whatEVER really, LET ME KNOWWWWWWWWW i just have a quick question or two for you :)
Article is due tomorrow afternoon (haha 12 hours) so timeliness is key! <3 THANKS FOR YOUR TIME <3

Mood: RAAAHH!!

Hey everyone, long time no see! I just wanted a drop a hello to both the old schoolers and new schoolers. WELCOME BACK OCHIBA WOO!! :D

So what's up with everyone's lives??? Tell me all about how your year is going! I don't really have time enough to go around to everyone's journals and comment on all the wonderful new pieces I see on the board, but I still wanna keep in touch with everyone somehow ;~; I'll try my best to respond to everyone in the post :D Even if I don't know you (YET), feel free to spam this journal with your life :D

As for me, I'm trying to be active and survive in school lol! I joined the Pre-dental Society last week and am getting inducted to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars in a few weeks.
What else? UuuUuummm hmm, I'm also tutoring English to ESL students and have applied to my school's newspaper as a reporter (though I am doubtful I got the job since I haven't heard back from them for a week now, sigh!). I also joined the intramural Flag Football team! It's so much fun! :D

Upcoming news, for anyone in the San Francisco area, I'm going to be at YAOICON WOOOOOOO even though it's only going to be for Saturday :D I have a table and am sharing with dumplingyum@ochiba~ Come see us both and say hello!! I'll also be going to the Caribou concert at Slim's in SF that night too, so if you're going, call me or something!! :D
